By moving the milling and paving of the Marsh Road/Grand River Avenue intersection to June of 2023, Okemos Road and Dobie Road will be fully reopened to create more viable detours. This was requested by the Township to ensure traffic isn't further restricted in 2022. Milling and paving of the Marsh Road/Grand River Avenue intersection will be moved to June of 2023 when MDOT will be milling and paving the remaining sections of Grand Rive Avenue between Marsh Road and Park Lake Road that are not being raised and reconstructed this year. Marsh Road and Grand River Avenue Intersection Construction Update: As part of this project, MDOT is partnering with Meridian Township and the Ingham County Drain Commission to relocate 200 feet of a 16-inch watermain and will be upgrading the Okemos and Grettenberger drains. ![]() Work will include joint and crack repairs, intermittent curb and gutter replacement, spot drainage repairs, sidewalk ramp upgrades compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) pedestrian islands will be installed on Grand River Avenue in 2023 at Washington Heights Avenue, between Meijer and Best Buy, and at Campus Hill Drive pavement marking upgrades, and traffic signal improvements. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing approximately $14.7 million to perform resurfacing and drainage improvements on M-43.
